CSS to change the display title of the list on the List title?

Is there a way to use CSS to change the display title of the list on the List title? Our SP lists have "ugly" names so I'd like to set a nice, clear display name instead for the tile.

  The List tile pulls directly from an existing list in SharePoint; in doing so it captures the: Title, Image, Text Content and other columns selected to display in the list. CSS is not recommended as it could alter page behavior and aesthetic if there is a change in the SharePoint list itself. It is best practice to keep the SharePoint list content as desired for display within the read/edit page in Designer.
