How to configure which user profile attributes are searching in the Directory.
Accessing the Settings
Go to Settings -> Org Directory.
Configuring Search Options
In the Search Options section, you will find two key configuration fields:
1. Unfilterable attributes
This field allows you to select attributes that should NOT be used as filters in the search interface.
2. Searchable fields
This new setting allows you to select which attributes are indexed and searchable.
- Click on the field to see a list of available attributes.
- Select the attributes you want users to be able to search by (e.g.,
mobilePhone,businessPhones,department). - Remove an attribute by clicking the "x" next to its name.
NOTE
Filtering Logic: To prevent configuration conflicts, any attribute selected in Unfilterable attributes will be automatically hidden and unavailable in the Searchable fields dropdown. If you cannot find an attribute in the Searchable fields list, check if it is currently selected as "Unfilterable".
NOTE
Default Configuration: If no fields are selected, the system uses a hardcoded set of default searchable attributes:
mail,name,givenName,surname,title,jobTitle,department,company
