Introduction

This release contains new features, changes, improvements, and resolved issues.  If an entry here is a result of a bug report or feature request, the relevant ID number (#xxxx) will be at the end of the entry.

Prerequisites ​

It is required to have 6.71 or any hotfix installed before upgrading to this version.

Please check previous release notes if you are not upgrading from the latest version.

Supported environments

This release supports the following environments:

• Office 365 Tenant and Azure
• SharePoint Server 2013​​
• SharePoint Server 2016
• SharePoint Server 2019

Please note: As the SharePoint Modern experience platform and development framework is too far behind SharePoint Online, the Enterprise on Modern SharePoint experience capabilities are not currently supported on SharePoint Server 2019.

Changes and improvements

• All Webparts (Classic & Modern): The product key for the Froala Editor has been updated.
• Noticeboard (Classic & Modern): E-mail notifications can now be enabled for mentions. The feature can be configured under Modules -> Notification -> Email notifications.
• Noticeboard (Modern): A toggle has been added to the Create Item panel to enable users to hide item summaries inside the article.
• Noticeboard (Modern): Users with Noticeboard Admin permissions will now be able to delete comments on posts.
• Noticeboard (Modern) - #34034: Users can now define what file types can be used in Modern webparts. The file types can be configured in the Administration Centre under Admin -> Modern Experiences -> General.
• Noticeboard (Modern) - #34618: Dates will now be displayed according to the user's time zone.

Resolved issues

• Corporate News (Classic): Errors on news sites related to ctx.CurrentItem.Culture being null or undefined have been resolved.
• Corporate News (Modern): Gifs will now be rendered properly in the Corporate News webpart.
• Corporate news (Modern) - #32113: DE users will now be able to access the Property Pane without errors.
• Noticeboard (Modern): A refresh will no longer be required after changing the 'Default View' configuration in the Property Pane.
• Noticeboard (Modern): The issue where any user, regardless of permission, could delete comments has been resolved.
• Noticeboard (Modern & Classic) - #33537: Formatting issues of posts in Viva Engage sent via webhooks to Power Automate have been resolved.
• Noticeboard (Modern) - #33829: A fix has been applied for the issue of cropped images in articles not displaying according to the correct aspect ratio when 'Show best quality images' is enabled.
• Noticeboard (Modern) - #33809, #33943: The issue with the 'Default display unread only' Property Pane option not being respected has been fixed.
• Noticeboard (Modern) - #34118: Publishing images should now always render when navigating between items in the Everywhere Panel.
• Quicklinks (Modern) - #34746: Set line clamp to item title to 2 lines on JumpList template.
• Page Contact (Modern) - #33740: A fix has been applied to resolve the 403 error regarding retrieving the user profile picture.

Administration 

• WizdomLicenseCheck Timer Job - #33530: For Onprem customers using Wizdom offline without internet access, the Wizdom License Check Timer Job will no longer connect to the license service for validation.
