Introduction

This release contains new features, changes, improvements, and resolved issues.  If an entry here is a result of a bug report or feature request, the relevant ID number (#xxxx) will be at the end of the entry.

Prerequisites ​

It is required to have 6.72 or any hotfix installed before upgrading to this version.

Please check previous release notes if you are not upgrading from the latest version.

Supported environments

This release supports the following environments:

• Office 365 Tenant and Azure
• SharePoint Server 2013​​
• SharePoint Server 2016
• SharePoint Server 2019

Please note: As the SharePoint Modern experience platform and development framework is too far behind SharePoint Online, the Enterprise on Modern SharePoint experience capabilities are not currently supported on SharePoint Server 2019.

Changes and improvements

• Noticeboard (Classic): Two checkboxes have been added to the create/edit view:

  • Notify new comments by email:

    Displayed when: "Allow social" checkbox is checked.
    Functionality: If checked, when someone comments on this post or replies to your comment on this post, you will receive a notification email.

  • Notify new comments by notification:

    Displayed when: Both "Allow social" and "Enable Notifications" (in Noticeboard configuration) are checked.
    Functionality: If checked, when someone comments on this post or replies to your comment on this post, you will see a message on notification bar.

• Noticeboard (Modern) - #35029: A toggle has been added to the Property Pane to enable loading the webpart view based on user selection.

Resolved issues

• JWT Token Validation - #35300: Applied a fix to the JWT token validation functionality for Wizdom APIs when called from an external application.
• Learning & Events: Event organizers will no longer experience issues when importing .ics files to their Outlook calendars.
• Noticeboard (Modern) - #34809: The issue where the editor link options became hidden if the user scrolled while editing has been fixed.
• Noticeboard (Modern) - #34914, #34972, #33809, #35145, #35332, #35463: Start and end dates and times will no longer be modified after each edit.
• Noticeboard (Modern) - #35040: The issue with item summary edit where non-breaking spaces were not being parsed by the browser and and were displayed as HTML has been fixed.
• Revision Timerjob - #35490: Pages with invalid dates will not be sent in revision timer job.
• Workspaces (Modern) - #33141: Teams created from Workspaces will now require delegated permissions to resolve the error when adding the Metadata app in Microsoft Teams.
• Workspaces (Modern) - #35464: All workspace sites will now load successfully regardless of type.
