Introduction

This release contains new features, changes, improvements, and resolved issues.  If an entry here is a result of a bug report or feature request, the relevant ID number (#xxxx) will be at the end of the entry.

Prerequisites ​

It is required to have 6.73 or any hotfix installed before upgrading to this version.

Please check previous release notes if you are not upgrading from the latest version.

Supported environments

This release supports the following environments:

• Office 365 Tenant and Azure
• SharePoint Server 2013​​
• SharePoint Server 2016
• SharePoint Server 2019

Please note: As the SharePoint Modern experience platform and development framework is too far behind SharePoint Online, the Enterprise on Modern SharePoint experience capabilities are not currently supported on SharePoint Server 2019.

Changes and improvements

• Administration: New languages supported by Intranet Enterprise: de-ch, fr-ch and nl-be.

• Administration: Livetiles Enterprise Intranet now supports nested AD groups.
• All Webparts (Classic) - #29576: Fix jQuery conflict with SharePoint variable.
• Corporate news (Classic): Improvements to UI/UX on loading more functionality.
• Corporate News (Modern): Adding a print icon button in each of Corp. News, when click on the button will open the Print Preview dialog and users can do printing. Notes: This function just shows the main content of SharePoint pages and will not show the same layout, styling as original pages cause of technical limitations.
• Corporate News (Modern) - #26804: Added the ability to show the slide index for Timeline template.
• Learning & Events: For gender-appropriate language, some German labels have been updated:
  Autor -> Autor/in
  Teilnehmer -> Teilnehmende.
• Livetiles Enterprise: Upgrade jquery version to avoid some vulnerabilities.
• Megamenu (Classic): Accessibility - You can now navigate through all Megamenu items using the Tab key.
• Noticeboard (Administration): LiveTiles Audiences can be selected in Channels.
• Noticeboard (Administration): Insights - The options for date range are replaced by: All Time, Today, This Week (from Monday of current week), This Month (from 1st of current month), This Year (from Jan-01 of current year), Date Range (select From date & To date).
• Noticeboard (Classic & Modern): Noticeboard new setting for choosing the way of sorting child comments: Newest (default), Oldest, Most likes, Most replies. The Comments will be shown from top-down instead of bottom-up as before, and the Show/Hide Previous Comments button is moved to the bottom of Comments.
• Noticeboard (Classic & Modern): Users with Edit permission can now Pin/Unpin Noticeboard articles.
• Noticeboard (Classic & Modern): Auto fill missing images with alt text if not exist.
• Noticeboard (Classic & Modern): New configuration option in Modules > Noticeboard > Configuration: "Remove associated images when comment is deleted." This option will enable the automatic removal of images related to a comment when that comment is deleted.
• Noticeboard (Classic & Modern): Users can now set the cache duration for items related to the Noticeboard.
• Noticeboard (Classic & Modern): Enhance security for add comment API.
• Noticeboard (Classic & Modern): E-mail notifications on noticeboard comments can now be enabled for every channel, independent of the ChannelSet.
• Noticeboard (Modern) - #27694: Now, users can click on the comments' images to view the details better.
• Noticeboard (Modern): Now, on the channel filter screen, you have the option to display only your subscribed channels.
• Noticeboard (Modern): Users now able to use key navigation to access the action buttons in the article list.
• Polices and Procedures - #28471: New functionality to export(print) polices and procedures in the web part.
• Page Tags (Classic): Search results are sorted by Modified Date when clicking on a page tag.
• Polls (Classic): Free text available on polls module.
• Quicklinks (Classic & Modern) - #30632: Now user can rearrange the link categories.
• Revision TimerJob - #30259: Add frequency setting for sending past revision pages email.
• Revision TimerJob - #30259: Add new Yes/No setting "Send separate mail on revision date" in Email timerjob section of Page Review Date module. When checked, a separate email will be sent when the page(s) has an Audit date = Today.
• Revision TimerJob #35841: Prevent sending empty email.
• Timerjobs: Added "Prevent Duplicate Run" option in Timerjob detail. When checked, it prevents new timer job schedules from running if the job is already in progress.
• Webform (Classic): Fields that are added/updated/deleted/re-ordered will now be updated to the related SharePoint list default view & content type.

Resolved issues

• Administration - #35344: The field W365_NoticeboardTags is now correctly found in on-premises environments.
• Administration - #35525: Fix for autofix functionality as such as better description of duplicated users(if they are duplicated by E-mail, AD objectId or Login name).
• All Webparts (Classic): Fixed some issues related to textarea tag.
• Cafeteria menu (Classic): Fix cannot add/edit menu issue in Cafeteria menu webpart.
• Corporate news (Modern): The number of displayed items on corporate news is now accurate with the selection on the web-part configuration.
• Corporate News (Modern) - #36674: A fix has been applied to resolve the issue when clicking on the article news along the bottom after resizing the browser.
• Free Sample Images: Fixed 403 error when deploying free sample images.
• Learning & Events - #36496: Fix for calendar invitation on learning and events module.
• Learning & Events: Event organizers will no longer experience issues when importing .ics files to their Outlook calendars.
• Left Navigation Menu (Classic): Fixed left navigation menu display issue.
• Noticeboard (Modern) - #35159: Publishing images in items from RSS Feeds should now always render when navigating between items in the Everywhere Panel.
• Noticeboard (Modern) - #34914, #34972, #33809, #35145, #35332, #35463: Start and end dates and times will no longer be modified after each edit.
• Noticeboard (Modern): When "Allow social by default on items" is enabled, the "Allow social" checkbox will display and be checked by default.
• Service Desk (classic): Fixed the service desk metadata show/hide option not working.
• Policy & Procedures: Resolved issue policy webpart not loading by safe parsing date time.
