Introduction

This release contains new features, changes and improvements, and bug fixes.  If an entry here is a result of a bug report or feature request, the relevant ID number (xxxx-yyyy or #zzzz) will be at the end of the entry.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this release.

Please check previous release notes if you are not upgrading from the latest version.

Supported environments

This release supports the following environments:

• SharePoint Server 2019

Please note: As the Modern SharePoint experience platform and development framework is too far behind SharePoint Online, the Wizdom on Modern SharePoint experiences capabilities are currently not supported on SharePoint Server 2019.​

Modern

• Filtering Noticeboard posts by channel is now available by selecting the channel name inside the cards and list template.
• Noticeboard dates can now be displayed as a specific time or time ago.​
• The Birthdays web part no longer has a max limit on how many birthdays to display.​

Classic

• The Birthdays web part no longer has a max limit on how many birthdays to display.​

Configuration Portal

• RSS feeds can now be validated during the creation of a Noticeboard RSS Channel from the Configuration Portal.​

Resolved issues

Modern

• We have solved a style issue in the Workspaces module where multiple taxonomy fields to overlap each other if placed close together on the create and edit forms.
• The Personal Links category “Uncategorized” can no longer be renamed to prevent unintended renaming that would break the web part. (#7877)
• All links inside LiveTiles Everywhere (formally known as PowerPanel) will open in new tabs when displayed inside Teams. (#8086 and #7741)
• We have solved the issue of pages in Internet Explorer 11 would not load if it contains both the Noticeboard web part and the Policy Index web part.
• We have fixed a problem where LiveTiles Everywhere (formally known as PowerPanel) would not render any panels if the SharePoint site collection did not have a selected theme.

Classic

• We have fixed a problem with an empty course list and no pagination in Internet Explorer 11 in the Learning and Events module. (#7879 and #7573)

Modern and Classic

• We have fixed a problem where Policies and Procedures pages were not shown for some people. (#7593)
• We have fixed a problem where Workspaces Teams provisioning would fail if an AD Group was added to a role. (#7946)
• We have fixed a problem where expired Noticeboard news posts were not removed from SharePoint’s search.​
• We have fixed a problem where CAML and Search in Corporate News did not use the same data for author details. (#7596, #7407 and #7487)
• We have fixed a problem where Corporate News sorting did not work​ correctly when using CAML configuration. (#7567)

Configuration Center

• ​Editing Workspace type configuration will now open op on the tab (Classic SharePoint / Modern SharePoint) that was last selected when saved. (#7826)
• We have fixed a problem where clearing cache from the Cache module would make the Administration portal not respond until the page was refreshed in the browser.
• We have fixed a problem in the Languages admin module where selecting/deselecting a language would not be persisted correctly.
