The SharePoint Add-in model is approaching retirement. Microsoft has confirmed deprecation and scheduled retirement in the official announcement.
SharePoint Add-Ins will stop working for new tenants as of November 1st, 2024; they will stop working for all tenants as of April 2nd, 2026
Therefore,
- With the Modern solution, we recommend transitioning to the Modern SharePoint solution model (.sppkg). You could find the article on how to do that here: Page Designer for Modern SharePoint.
- With the Classic solution, let's continue using the Non-App Installation.
