Introduction
Wizdom Weather is essentially a webpart showing the daily temperatures of a city or location. The weather information may be shown for a single day or for five days, based on two built-in templates. These templates may be customized, and further templates can be created on a custom basis.
By clicking map icon, the allowed user can instantly change city/location and temperature unit to see weather at specific location in different unit.
System Administration
In Wizdom Administration, select the module "Weather" then weather webpart configuration page will be shown as follows
Weather service API key: API key or APP ID provided by weather service provider (www.openweathermap.org) to access their API
Click here to register: To get API key or APP ID if you don’t have any key, click the link and get registered.
Weather View Templates
These are the default templates distributed with module. Five days template is used to view weather forecast of 5 days (today and next 4 days) and Single day template is used to view weather of only today. The templates can be customized and extra templates can be added.
Web Part Administration
To add the Weather web part in a page, edit the page and add the web part “Weather” in the “Wizdom365 V2” category as follows
When the web part is added in the page, click “Edit Webpart” button and set the properties and then click “SAVE” button like below
Web part template: Template url (Five days view or Single day view)
Location type: type of location (Fixed or Current location)
Fixed location: If location type is set to Fixed then Fixed location will be used to view weather webpart
Fallback location: If location type is set to Current then user profile location property value will be used to view weather webpart and if user profile location value isn’t set then Fallback location will be used to view weather webpart.
Allow manage/change location: If it is set to TRUE then logged in user can change location & temperature unit and view weather. Otherwise map icon won’t be shown and user will not be able to change location & temperature unit.
Temperature Unit: Weather temperature unit Celsius, Fahrenheit or Kelvin
