Introduction
The Cafeteria Menu allows staff to inform on the current and future food offerings from one or several cafeterias.
The web part includes a selection of templates that informs users on either the daily or weekly menu with image, description, and nutrition or other additional information.
By clicking the date navigation buttons in the top of the web part, users can browse through the menu offerings of the current week.
The menu is presented to users based on the location set in the user profile in AD.

However, from the picker in the bottom right part of the web part, this can be changed by the end user who can make the web part display menus from other cafeterias in the organization.
Clicking the information icon displays a description about the selected cafeteria.

A printer-friendly version of the menu is available from the web part for editors, or all users if enabled by administrators.

Cafeteria personnel, (or other staff group or users with the assigned editor rights to a cafeteria menu), can easily create and add a menu directly from the web part.
Administrators can add and manage cafeteria menus and assign different editors to them, keeping the menus consistent for users in all locations of your business.

Cafeteria module settings
To configure basic settings of the module>go to the area ‘Configuration’ in the Cafeteria Menu module administration
- First day of week: Select either Sunday or Monday as first day of the week.
- Remove old menus regularly: Selecting this will make the system automatically clean the database for old menus.
- Keep menus for this number of days: If the above option is selected, this setting specifies how many days old menus will be kept in the database before they are automatically removed.

From Enterprise Administration, you can establish and configure cafeterias that will have menus on the intranet. For each cafeteria you can set name, description, location, and assign editors that can edit the cafeteria menu.
To administer cafeteria menus>go to the ‘Cafeterias’ area in the module administration.
Click ‘Create cafeteria’ to create a new cafeteria or click on an established cafeteria to enter the cafeteria administration interface and edit its settings.
Location lets you write a locations set up in SharePoint. When the Today’s Menu web part is shown to a user the first time, the web part will automatically select a cafeteria with the same location as the user, determined from data in AD, if possible. If no match is found, a random cafeteria is selected, and the user must change the cafeteria selection if necessary.
In the Editors section, add the user(s) or user group(s) to whom you wish to provide editor rights. These users/user groups will be allowed to create and change menus in this cafeteria.
The text entered for Description will be shown when the user clicks the information-icon in the web part displaying the menu from this cafeteria.

In Enterprise Administration, you can define and customize the look, feel, and functionality of the Cafeteria Menu module by the means of templates.
The Cafeteria Menu module includes a selection of pre-defined templates.
You find the overview of all templates for the Cafeteria Menu module under the ‘Templates’ area in the Cafeteria Menu module administration. From here, you can configure existing templates and create new ones.

Cafeteria Menu web part settings for Modern pages
The Cafeteria Menu web part displays menus from a cafeteria in a visually appealing design that opts to inform users on the daily or weekly menu with images, description, and nutrition or other additional information.

To insert the Cafeteria Menu web part on a modern page, perform the following steps:
- With the page in edit mode>click the plus icon to see the list of web parts available.
- Find the Cafeteria Menu web part either by navigation or by searching the list.
Once placed on a page, you can configure the Cafeteria Menu web part by clicking the pencil icon to the left of the web part.
In the settings panel to the right, you configure the web part settings.
Template lets you select a template for the web part.
Choose between the pre-made template or any own custom made templates.
