In order to limit or provide access to make changes throughout the intranet, the Permissions module allows you to assign groups of users to different levels of permissions.
Assign groups to ‘Admin global admin permissions’, ‘Module global admin permissions’, ‘Configuration admin permissions’, and ‘Documentation admin permissions’.
If you want to assign administration rights to a specific module, you can locate the particular module and configure the settings from there.
Permissions Module Settings
- ‘Custom Modules’
The Home and Support tabs are public i.e., accessible for Everyone (all site users).
But Modules, Custom modules and Admin tabs are accessible only for specific user group(s).
In the Permissions module administration, you provide access permission to one or more user groups (AD user groups) to the ‘Modules’ and ‘Admin’ tab as well as to the Help & Training Portal link in the intranet tool bar and Noticeboard Insights.
NOTE: if a field is left empty, every user will have access (see the warning message in light pink banner).
